COBAGRiP®, with its high performance slip-resistant gritted top surface, is a cost-effective solution for increasing safety on wet walkways in ports, around marinas and jetties. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) reveals that over a quarter of all reportable accidents in ports for example are due to slips and trips.

GRP for Marinas & Jettys

This highlights the dangers involved on wet, contaminated or obstructed floor surfaces and walkways. Slips into water can be tragic, and not just lead to fractured bones.

The GRP sheets with their Silicon Carbide surface are easily fitted to concrete, metal and wooden surfaces, to create a safe and level pathway. GRP flooring is also ideal for ramps; indeed it is has been ramp slip tested to R13 in accordance with DIN 51130:2010. It can also be beneficial for underfoot safety on floating jetties and pontoons, used in areas for boat boarding etc. Stair treads and stair nosing are also available in the COBAGRiP® range.

All products in COBA’s GRP range are UV stabilised and they are suitable for all climatic conditions. COBAGRiP® is manufactured from flame retardant materials, which is another important consideration in areas where boats are moored.
