COBA has been a long-term supporter of Leicester Tigers and we are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Club’s Director of Rugby, Richard Cockerill, for the 2014-2015 season.  Needless to say that our own COBA Europe team is getting very excited as the Aviva Premiership season kicks off at Welford Road this Saturday, 6th September.

Saturday’s opening match sees Leicester Tigers on home turf challenge Newcastle Falcons. A few individuals from COBA Europe had the opportunity to chat with Richard Cockerill ahead of the season.  He is really happy with the squad of 45 for this coming year and has a number of experienced new recruits on-board with a wealth of international caps that will further strengthen the team.  Notably, Brad Thorn joins with over 60 caps for the All Blacks and a World Cup under his belt.  At 39 years of age, he brings experience to the youth members in a season where the target is to win both the Aviva Premiership and the European Champions Cups.

Cockerill stressed the importance of the entire Club collectively being good, motivated people who excel as part of a team; from the CEO, to the players and coaches.  It’s not just about the players shining on the rugby pitch – everyone has to be good at what they do and work as a team.  And, the success of Leicester Tigers over the years certainly underlines this ethos.

Team walking out

This ethos for only having ‘good people’ really resonates with COBA.  The same can be said of our team of people at COBA across all our manufacturing and distribution businesses.  We are proud to have a team of really good people and attribute our own success and growth over the years, to our enthusiastic people at COBA.
