Floor Level ESD Setup

1. How do ESD Floor Mats work?

The ESD floor mat protects the user from static electricity by providing a route to ground for static build up.

2. What are ESD Heel Grounders?

ESD Heel Grounders are fitted to the user’s shoes to connect them to the mat.

3. Male Stud

The male stud is incorporated into the mat and attaches the Floor Mat with the Floor Mat Grounding Wire.

4. What should a Floor Mat Grounding Wire connect to?

The Floor Mat Grounding Wire connects the Male Stud to the Earth Bonding Plug.

5. Where should Earth Bonding Plugs connect to?

The earth bonding plug fits into a wall socket and is connected to the floor mat grounding wire via a stud.

 

 

Bench Level ESD Setup

1. How do ESD Bench Mats work?

The mat protects both the user and the component from static electricity by providing a route to ground for static build up.

  • Benchstat – ESD matting with buried layer
  • HR Matting – Premium ESD matting with buried layer

2. How do you use grounding Wristbands?

The Wristband connects the user to the Coil Cord.

3. How should ESD Coil Cords be used?

The Coil Cord attaches the Wristband to the Common Point Ground Wire. The coils allow for easy movement.

4. Male Stud

The male stud is incorporated into the mat and connects to both the Coil Cord and the Common Point Ground Wire.

5. Where should you connect the Common Point Ground Wire?

The Common Point Grounding Wire connects the Bench Mat to the Earth Bonding Plug.

6. How should a Earth Bonding Plug be used?

The earth bonding plug fits into a wall socket and is connected to the floor mat grounding wire via a stud.
