In a recent collaborative endeavour, COBA Flooring, a sub-division of COBA Europe, partnered with Kier and Volkerfitzpatrick to provide a comprehensive solution aimed at enhancing safety and elevating aesthetics at the Luton Airport Dart station. By installing GRP sheets, GRP stair treads, and entrance matting, the project encompassed the installation of nearly 350m2 of GRP Sheets, 53 GRP Steps, and 40m2 of matting.

Furthermore, the provision included 2 custom steel ramps, sub-contracted by COBA Europe, specifically designed for Luton Dart rail link.

The Luton DART project represents a pioneering passenger transit system that links Luton Airport Parkway station with London Luton Airport in a remarkable under-4-minute journey. This innovative rail link supersedes the previous bus shuttle, significantly enhancing the passenger experience and reducing travel time at the airport.

To mitigate the risk of slips and falls on external pedestrian stairs and walkways, COBA Europe advocated for the application of GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) flooring.
